Kid Cudi in GQ- Shout out to SHARON RYAN

Ok guys i'm back...I am so excited to give this another go! Today what we have are some shots of music artist Kid Cudi in some rather dapper threads! I love the styling by stylist Sharon Ryan...and all of Kid Cudi's pictures are DOPE! Cameras and clothes love him...he should definitely model more!. His overall style is decent...better than most,but the styling in this editorial was spot on in my eyes... I love it!





GQ really delivered! I am pleased. LOL.

REINVENTION: The Gallant

No need to state the obvious. I have not blogged in over half a year. That brings the grand total of posts for 2010 to a staggering 2 posts. I know awful,but I haven't given up. Perish the thought! Instead...I've revamped. I changed the name which was too much to spell correctly and just overall too lengthy... I also think the new name reflects the essence of what this blog is about.

You may ask what is "a gallant". Some of us are familiar with the adjective which is a synonym for brave, courageous, and the like. But the noun is what this here blog is all about. Note the following definition via Merriam-Webster...

¹gal·lant : noun \gə-ˈlant, gə-ˈlänt, ˈga-lənt

1: a young man of fashion

...so by definition...that is what i am...thus...the name of the blog...

Fashion Drop :That Jil Sander! (also Coming Soon and Band of Outsiders)

Been a long time...shouldn't have left you....
But seriously folks...been a FEW months...my bad my beloved blog. I do love you...i promise!
Now that that's out of the way on to the post...

So i'm on one of my fave online shopping haunts...and i come across these selections from Jil Sander that just TOTALLY rub me the right way!! It's some fresh looks yet so classic and unassuming...very clean...i'm thoroughly enjoying these looks...a nod to edgy japanese color blocking notions with impeccable tailoring...i am just loving the concepts and color! Take a peek...










Now. Coming Soon is making me smile! Loving the simplicity and sort of pop influence of these nice little tees. Enjoying it!





Last,but not least... the selections they had from Band of Outsiders were a little bit of sheer wonder! Sleek V-Necks in various colors...Wonderfully made blazers...a nice version of a kinda patchy looking plaid. 4 stars at the LEAST. I love it!


This a complete outfit I would pick. The pants are great and the blazer...is there anything to say? It's perfection...








I love this plaid. It's a statement, but not an obnoxious one. I wouldn't wear it all together though...lol. I'd love to see the plaid pants...with the black V-neck above(keep the boy tie),a yellow hued shirt underneath that(vibrant or pale...just as long as it's definitely more yellow and less High School gold...ya dig?)...and some nice loafers or broques...in black or gray...most likely black! Sorry...i 'd have to see it on....but i think that would deliver!

This was good for me. I know my pupils are probably dilated and my heart is light. I am happy to have posted and shared with you these nice little pieces!

A Sad Day for Fashion....

I hate for such a tragic event to bring me back to the blog...but a great artist and fashion icon Alexander McQueen was found dead earlier today. The man was nothing short of a genius and will be sorely missed! He dressed many celebrities and never compromised his vision. I am saddened,dismayed, gobsmacked, and utterly sick over the news, but I will celebrate the good of this wonderful designer with a fresh and innovative eye...and do so gladly!
